Greetings everyone, I wanted to say hello as I am a newb here on the forum. I will admit tht for years I was a camero fan but also loved the classic mustangs.... That said, after selling my 68 RS Camero I now find myself looking for a running project car... 66 or 67. I have been searching on Craigslist and have only found a few worth pursuing. I am looking for a car with the following:
- straight body (doesn't have to be painted)
- a 289 or 302 automatic that both the engine and tranny are good
- working electrical
Everything else can be worked on over time.
I have seen some where folks have put 86 HO 302 motors in classic mustangs....
What problem if any does this pose for a potential buyer? One had this with a C4 tranny and he said it would reach 3000RPMS at 55 MPH....
I just want to make sure I invest properly.
