hello.....

undefinedhello mustang enthusiasts. i own a 65 coupe with the 200 and the 3 speed. i have a question and was wondering if you could give some advice. i want to turn this beast back to original all the way. i just need help in finding the syncros for the tranny since 3 speed's are difficult to discover. i also need some help in the paint department since the color is not on the vehicle which it should be. i am doing all my own work to it so i can say i restored it from the lunacy of this world back to its original placement in time. as you can see by the photo i might put on here( thats if it works) obviousl;y the wheels on it are not the greatest for originality but i do have the stockers. any help would be vastly appreciated.

well i was wondering if anyone knew whewre i could find the syncros for my tranny and the paint for the car which is wimbledon white so i coud possibly restore it all myself ive tried checking everywhere humanly possible but to no avail. if anyone could help me they are for a 3 speed manual from a 1965 coupe with the 200 straight 6 motor

If your transmission is a Toploader 3 speed, then try 4speedtoploaders.com . I can't recall but he (David Kee)can tell you if the 4 speed blocker rings ( this is what you need, not syncros) are the same as the 3 speeds. I've also seen rebuild kits for sale on ebaymotors.com, search in "Ford Transmission" There will be a lot of stuff there, but that's how I found them.

id rather keep it all original big motors scare me with hp!

thanks for the advice about the tranny i am going to look now :nice:

ok lemme explain what it is doing and what it isnt doing then that might be more help to tell me what is wrong with it. i can shift through the gears on it just fine in motion with force from the motor but when i go to down shift it will not lock into a gear at all and i get a terrible grinding in the shifter shaft i have shifted it with out the car in motion and it works just fine so i know its not the mechanical clutch arm or disc and plate nor the throw-out bearing. maybe you people can explain it to me.
