Hello, I'm new to the forum. I have an 1983 mustang gt with a 5.0 out of an 85. It has a edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor (not sure which but could do some research if it is important). When you push the pedal down just a little and at idle it seems like no gas is getting to the motor and it dies (or has a veryyy low inconsistent idle). But if you pump the gas or give it a lot it seems to work just fine. Maybe the first two barrels are clogged? Any help would be appreciated as I'm 17 and learning as I go!

could be a few things within the carb, I'd have a carb guy do a quick rebuild on it, you'll be much happier if done by a pro
Ask around first, maybe you'll stumble on smeone who will rebuild it as a side job and let you watch. Maybe post up a craigslist ad
I don't think a carb rebuild is more than about $50 honestly...maybe even 50 plus a kit? Or do it yourself maybe?
