Hey guys! Hope I got your attention by my title. I want to be as detailed as possible so that I can get the most accurate help.
I recently purchased a 88 GT mustang, with a 5 speed manual. The previous owner had the clutch replaced at Ford within the last 10,000KM. I finally got the mustang home after a 4 hour drive back to my house when I noticed something just doesn't feel right with the shifter.
It's very difficult to get it into gear, especially first. But every gear feels "stiff". Also, when you are in neutral and you slide the shifter from left to right, if you slide it to the left it doesn't bounce back to the middle like it should. Something just feels very stiff. Sometimes when you come to a red light, when you go to put it in first it just won't go in so you need to release the clutch then try again. Sometimes it's gotta be forced in. * ALSO, it seems to grind into reverse now... *
Clutch cable adjustment???? Help!
Any tips/advice on how to narrow this down?
