Help 96 GT wont stay running

my gf has a 96 Gt auto, she had a keyless entry and remote start installed, and when the weather started getting cold within the last week she started having problems. When the remote start kicks in it runs for about 1 second then dies. The theft light is blinking, and the ABS lights are on. After it warms up outside it seems to start fine. I checked all the connections, and they were good i just dont know, i drive a 5.0 with a glock as my only antitheft device lol. Anyways any help is appreacitated

could this be the battery?

After it dies, if given a few seconds, does it make another attempt to start? What's the mileage on her car? How long has it been since her last tune up?

...and the Glock anti-theft is only effective if you're around to watch the car 24/7.

could this be the battery?

id disconnect the remote start and go from there , the ABS light should not have anything to do with it , but if the remote start could be friggin up on you

mileage is 117k her last tune up was about 3 months ago, she doesnt really drive it much. If you start it with the key why its cold it does the same as the remote start, the theft light blinks and the abs light is gone off...i dunno im stumped

When you start it, if you rev it hard on start up will it stay running ? When is the last time the fuel filter was replaced ? If you crank it for a long period of time do you kind of smell gas in the exhaust ? If not, what does the exhaust smell like after a long period of cranking (like 7-10 seconds if it doesn't start). Will it start and then die every time ?

take to the local ford dealer if you are stumped , probably be cheaper than you throwing parts at it blindly
