HELP!!!!! A/C fried?

The reving problem seems odd. It's as if the computer expected the AC to turn on, but didn't.
Anyway, put a set of gauges on and check the pressures. You can check to see if the compressor runs and if the pressure is high enough to turn the compressor on. If the compressor doesn't run (most likely), then you'll have to figure out why... possibility include bad pressure switchs, low refridgerant, a bad compressor coil, slipping compressor clutch or even a locked up compressor. You'll just have to get out the gauges and start testing things.
