Guys, I ordered an Accufab Plenum for my 2v 96GT from Modular Depot.
I was able to get the old plenu off no problem. I installed the throttle controls to the new plenum no problem.
When I mounted the new plenum, there is no way that the black bracket int he back can sit flush with the top of the plenum and bolt paths.
I tried mounting the plenum to the bracket first, but I can't even force the plenum down toward he passenger side to get it flush with the intake.
Any thoughts?
Did I get the wrong one?

TIA

It's kind of hard to say what is causing this without seeing the engine. I installed the Accufab Plenum, and had no problem getting the cable plate to attach. If you think about it, the stock plenum and the Accufab are almost identical in size. Is it possible the EGR tubes are routed incorrectly around the bracket? I really feel there is simply something in the way, rather than the plenum being faulty.

1. Take a picture if you can so I can see what the problem is. I have a 98 and had no trouble (except getting the tps off the old plenum).
2. There is no "wrong one".
3. If you cant take a picture, I will try to get my crap camera to work so you can see what the install should look like.

Stimmler,
I don't have a digital camera.
I called Accufab and they said that I may have to force the bracket up to fit the new plenum.
Did you have to use force to move the bracket?

TIA

Dan

Nope didn't have to force anything. Everything is within millimeters of the stock setup. Make sure you dont have any hoses or cable wrapped around where it shouldn't. I will try to get my camera to work so i can take a pic.

Attached are a couple before and after pics - I had absolutely no problem connecting anything. As Todd4566 stated, the pieces are almost identical in size, so things should line up. Ck to be sure something is binding elsewhere...

the plenum shouldn't be a problem but you'll have to ask somebody if the C&L pipe will fit, I heard that the densecharger pipes don't and I don't know if that is true for the c&l as well.

Stimmler, I have a strut tower brace, will it still fit?
Also, where did you plug in the cable that use to plug into the rubber boot?

I just installed with the MAC 85mm MAF and while clearance to the strut tower brace was close I was able to get it all to fit. I would think that the shape of the C&L would make it a bit easier.

There's a photo of my install over in Canada East http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=463898
