Can someone let me know where a good shop is in the Chapel Hill, NC area is? I live in MD.

I burned a couple spark plug wires and replaced them, but I still get some sputtering, missing and knocking.

Maybe the plugs are fouled?

any ideas and shops?

I only have like today and possibly the latest monday to get it fixed.

thanks

Check the usual:

Cap
Rotor
Timing
Coil and coil feed
Firing order (incase you swapped on accident when you replaced the wires)

not yet.

the plug wires aren't mixed up. I replaced the #2 and the #8. It's still doing the same thing.

so if you pull the plug wires that you think are problematic, does the idle change?

If you have spark to the cylinders, I would pull the plugs for each of those bad ones and check the electrode and ground strap.

Good luck.

Check spark gap on plugs?

Ummm......vacuum leak? Check connections

Spout connector off or missing?

Mass air sensor hooked up. Heating elements "clean" inside of meter?

O2 sensors?

Thats all i can think of now.............Good luck man!

You can get a generic coil wire at parts stores. Not sure if it is long enough for a fox (it would be for an SN).

The coil wire [single 'plug wire'] goes from the middle of the dizzy to the coil (little cylinder mounted on the driver side fender).

Good luck.
