Has it started ever since you put it back together? Maybe your distributor is out of wack.

That sounds really weird...i have no idea.

HEY! I was messing with the dizzy and I must have been too tired from working on my car or intoxicated from the coolant and oil all over my garage floor because I cranked it to 0 and it wasnt even close to #1 cylinder! Started right up!. HOWEVER, the car still doesnt run, it will stay runnning if you give it gas but as soon as you let off it slowly dies. Vacuam leak? What could this be?

Set my timingat 10 and voila, it idles! Sounds like it had a cam for a lil, i fugre thats from my computer messing around. It was idleing great and I was gonna come in and report my findings and it quit and now it wont start. Im gonna let it sit for a lil and try again. Engine was smoking like crazy but I figure thats from the oil n grease on my headers n such. Thanks for the help again guys.

yeah my guess was gonna be timeing way off. im glad i read the whole post before responding because you figured that now. and also yeah the lower the timing the more it sounds like its "lopeing"

did you tighten the dist lock good? maybe it was running and you hit the gas and spun the dist way off again?? sudden change in rpm can do that if its not tight enough.

otherwise tell us more. no spark? no fuel? no fuel pressure?

or like that stupid car commercial that i forgot whats for now (onstar?) the car wont start shes asks if its out of gas. and then says "i thought you just replaced the starter" when uh its obviously cranking so thats not the problem...

stupid
