I was driving to work and was still close to my house, when my car just started sputtering even worst. And it was backfiring out the eshaust. Small and gunshot loud pops. I get back hoe and got some codes.

542-Fuel Pump Secondary circuit fault

556-Fuel Pump relay primary circuit fault.

Is it the gay CCRM?????

What are symptoms of a bad CCRM?????

That could well be the problem with your car this whole time since the problem you been describing has to do with fuel the CCRM has the fuel relay and I see them go bad slowly and then they will just pop out completely.I would get another one just to check it out It wont hurt .

It will only hurt the wallet Will a bad CCRM make you run a little rich on idle??? Or even make your car sputter....

Well After installing a brand new CCRM, I was excited to turn the car on! Only to my surprise it was still doing the same backfiring!!!! Any one have a match and a gallon of gas?

I disconnected the battery to install the CCRM. I havent check as I even haven't drove 10 feet with it. So I dont think it will trhow codes like that

Do you have the msd distributor on your car ? if so take it off they are garbage your problem is ignition related it can be a bad coil ,distributor ,wires or event the sparkplugs could be bad .have you checked all if those components

Yes I have. I put back the stocker dizzy a while back. Everything like the coils, plugs, wires, Tfi is new. Maybe a bad fuel pump??? Cuz now it backfires when it leans out and it never leaned out. It hits high 15's and my wd stop reading at 16.
