Help!!! bacfiring???////

my car seems to backfire every now and then, its not all the time. i would say its more on the intake side, plugs are new and wires look good, my car had the computer tuned and they set the timing so i don't think i should mess with that. it will not do it over 4000 rpms I would say it does it around 2500-3500 rpms. anyone have ANY ideas?

Thanks.

also try pulling codes. you could also have a vac leak (causing leanness and backfiring). stockish motor pulls around 15-20" of vac at idle. i dont know what your set up would pull.

good luck.

doesn't the check egine light need to be on for me to pull any codes?

Right now I'm trying to reset the computer, maybe that will do somthing.....
problems can meet criteria to store a code in the KAM, while never lighting the CEL (or having it flash quickly and then go out). but you are clearing the KAM right now, so never mind. :)
