Hey guys, i need help realllllly quickly. I just put in my adjustable fuel pressure reg. and put the guage on. I put my fuel pressure to 38. I decided that i wanted to run around with the guage always on. Im driving back from Target and i smell this horrid smell of gas. I pull over and the injector under the guage (#1 cylinder) is spitting fuel out. I push the rail back down and when i start it up, the rail raises up and the injector starts spitting it out. I took off the guage and tried it to no avail, same damn results. Is it possible i blew out the TOP o-ring????? That is going to piss me off if i did. thanks in advance.

How i got home:
I wrapped a big flashlight in two t-shirts and used the hood to put force on the rail.

Sounds like an o-ring has taken a poop. Take the injector out and go to your local parts store and ask for the same size o-ring(don't forget to take your old one with you). Pair with the same size and your good.

I had a similar problem after installing my intake. Only I had a bad o-ring AND I forgot to put back one of the bolts the holds the fuel rails.
I zip tied the bastard down so that I was able to get back home. God bless zip ties.

Goto NAPA, I can't remember what the kit is called "Pintle" something.
But NAPA should have it, and it's cheap.

Might as well re-ring all your injectors on that rail (there are o-rings on the top and bottom of each injector).

It's pretty cheap to do and since you'll lift the rail you might as well. That side is pretty easy to do. I had one start squirting gas on my driver's side a couple winters ago when it was like 10*F with 30 MPH windows outside. It was cold even in the garage.

Put some petroleum jelly on the rings so they'll slide right on the top and bottom of the injectors.

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

You probably jiggled the rail, which messed up an already dry-rotted O-ring. If you go to Advance or the Zone, you can ask for an injector O-ring kit. They will be able to look it up by application, no need to bring in an old O-ring. You will need two of them to do all the injectors. It is easy to do. You have to remove the upper intake. There are just 4 bolts holding the rail down. Remove the rail, and change the O-rings. Shouldn't take more than an hour and a half.
