Hello everyone, I live in central Florida and am looking to buy my first mustang.
After some research I have decided to buy an '05-'09 mustang gt manual due to the extra HP and better interior(imo) then the previous years.
I have been stalking the local Craigslist for the past month and nothing too crazy has popped up. I have found nice ones, but they all seem to be heavily modded or thousands more than Kelley blue book.
I would like to buy a mustang for under 15k preferably closer to 10k with as low miles as possible within reason.
I am very skeptical when buying a heavily modded mustang as I don't want a ragged out one, i would prefer to do that myself. But i will see what you all think as far as what mods are safe to buy with confidence and which ones should probably be avoided.

Anyways, these are the best ones I've found so far. Let me know what you guys and gals think.
Thank you for your time, I'm excited to be joining the mustang community in the near future!

I would say they are all over priced, but the 07 GT may be the best deal. Just to give you an example, my 2011 GT is in great shape, outperforms the local cars in its class from the same generation of cars (other 5.0 GTs, RT Challenger, SRT Challenger, SS Camaro, 370Z) and it is only worth $12,000 due to mileage. I recommend checking Edmunds or KBB for the actual worth of the cars.

I stay away from Craigslist unless I am looking for super cheap, unique fixer upper opportunity like my 1996 Nissan Maxima (my work car). Try searching/filtering your local market through Autotrader.com- you will get more reputable sellers I think.

And don't always trust the Carfax. My 2005 Altima SE-R had a clean Carfax and I know for a fact that it had been wrecked, repaired, and then traded in immediately after the repairs from some of the repairs I had to do after I bought the car. Trust your gut and don't look over things that don't make sense if they are pertinent to the function and value of the car. Fortunately for me, on that car, those items weren't important- just shows you that you can't trust Carfax.
