Guys, I just installed the accufab plenum on my 96gt and am trying to replace the factory black boot with the C&L Trueflow Inlet Pipe.
The darn pipe just doesn't fit snuggly. I can jam it close by tighting down the blue silicon hoses.
Is it supposed to be a snug fit or am I supposed to jam it in place?
Also, there is an adapter on the black boot for a wire connector, but there is just a black grommet on the inlet tube. What am i supposed to do with no place to put this connector?
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Dan

If you have the stock TB, you'll likely need a small piece of hose, slightly smaller than the hose on the end of the Trueflow - you should have got one with the kit. It fits on the TB, then the Trueflow tube fits over that.

I am cool with that part of it, but what about the connector that I have no place to insert into the trueflow pipe. The rubber boot has a place for it to snap into? The trueflow just has a rubber grommet.
Someone that has done this install, please help.

TIA

Also

I forgot to mention that i have a strut tower brace. That is also making it hard. Will the trueflow fit even with a strut tower brace?

Sorry dksheehan, but my 01 and 02 don't have this issue with the connector into the Trueflow...I'd help if I could but I just don't know...I've heard of others having trouble with a strut tower brace, but again, no first hand experience.

What kind of connector (or what is it for) that connects into the OEM hose?

It's right next to the MAF on the fenderwall. It's one of those clips things.
Any thoughts?

The black gromet on the tube is where the Temp sensor needs to be relocated from the stock tubing to the C&L pipe. You unplugged the temp sensor already, now pull the actual sensor out of the stock tubing and place it in the C&L pipe and plug it in. (02+ do not have the temp sensor in the pipe).

I just did mine the other day but I had the Accufab 75mm TB. and 2000 GT have no STB.
