Question is this. I have a new block. 94 351w, and the oil dipstick is on the left side of the block towards the middle of the block. The old block had it in the front of the engine, right side. So my oil pan has the pickup in the front. Now with the oil dip where its at, It seems that I need a <reverse> oil pan, where the pickup is in the backside, for it to line up with the dipstick.

PROBLEM: It seems that the steering mech arms has a bar that runs across the bottom. It looks like a cross member that conects from one of the steering joints to the other. It also seems as if a <reverse> oil pan will not fit in that space.

So in short, do anyone else have this type of issue, and if so, what did you do to solve it ?

This has been covered several times for 302s. Its the same for a 351 I'd imagine. A stock oil pan will clear the dipstick on a 302, not sure about a 351, never worked on one. As far as I know, a dual sump oil pan wont fit in a classic. Yer options are to plug the dipstick hole or leave the dipstick there. If you plug it then you can tap a hole in the timing cover or reuse your old 351's timing cover that has the dipstick in it already. Or you can just not run a dipstick... wouldn't recommend that tho.
