Help, car won't start (video)

So i had a thread about how my car wasnt starting before, when I turned the key nothing would happen.. I checked everything and all that seemed was wrong was the ignition wire to the solenoid was bad. So I cut it and connected a new one. Now this is happening:

From my (little) experience, that sound usually means something along the line of low battery, or bad connection. But the terminals and connections to the solenoid look fine. Also, the solenoid is brand new.

i can't really tell what the sound is, are you sure the connection at the starter is good? and are you sure the starter is bolted up all the way?

Not sure, never touched the starter.. Where is it located? Could it be that it is bad?

bad starter maybe?. also sounds like maybe its not gettin enough juice to the starter

yeah, id pull your battery and go get it tested. even if it's got a full 12v, doesn't mean it can handle a load from the starter. and the starter is down by the oil pan, at the rear of the block on the passenger side. it goes backwards into the bellhousing.

I did have it tested, its fine. I also tried while connected to a jump starter.

Is there an upgraded started I should get, or just an OEM replacement?

Check the cables to and from the battery, starter cable and starter, and then tap on the starter some. Use a Voltometer and check it, had this happen a few times to cars and it's always a wire.

Mine did that when I did a 3g alt upgrade and I had a bad ground from the block to the battery...added a second ground and it started fine

another time it did that I had corrosion on the negative post

I have a second ground and the terminals are good, thanks though.

use some jumper cables and hit the positive on the positive terminal on the starter and see if it kicks over. if it does than you have a connection problem

Good idea, so just connect the jumpers directly to the starter?

yeah, you will need a buddy and do it safely

Why would I need a buddy? I figured I would just jack up the car and put the power directly to the wires?

Today when I tried to turn the car on again, it made the same buzzing sound.. this time when I turned the key off it wouldnt go away. When I went to check where the buzzing was coming from, it was the distributor cap. I have a MSD cap and wires. Would that somehow be caused by the starter?

I was going to to to autozone to pick one up today, but I just dont want to be throwing away my money on one if I don't need to..
