Hey everyone. I have a few questions for all of you. I am doing my senior project for high school and I decided to do it on my mustang. I am to enhance the peformance of my car. It is a 2000 Mustang GT. I already put on the SLP cat back, BBK CAI, and a Steeda Tri-Ax shifter. I am on a budget since I have to pay for my whole project. My parents dont have the money to help me out. Any suggestions would greatley be appreciated is was thinking Throttle body, plenum, mid pipe, nitrous, and a couple other things. let me know.

Thanks,
Sean

Bad idea. Do a senior project on something you don't gotta spend money on lmao... Go to the library and read some books, interview some old dudes, write a paper - way easier than blowing money on a car.

im not going to be blowing money on it. I know cars are expensive. I was planning to put parts on my car anyways, so i just decided to take advantage of it.

GEARS! and possibly a tuner?.....kinda hard to answer that question, in my opinion.....I'm assuming u want the best bang for the buck right?....i don't think a throttle body and plenum will give you that (if i am correct)

the mid-pipe and nitrous sounds good....the gears and tuner are your "couple extra things"

I have to write a ten to twelve page paper on how internal combustion engines have evolved over the history of automobiles. i have to do a project releated to my paper. I have already gotten a few things for my mustang so i just decided to put more parts on my car.

Best bang for buck id say go w. an o/r mid-pipe (x or h based on sound prefrence), and gears.

BTW, i like the idea of modding your car for a school project. Its like killing two birds w. one stone.

I had to do the same thing for a senior project. My paper was comparing power adders and which was the best over all. My physical project was installing a supercharger on my car then showing the gains.  We then had to do a 4min speech about the paper or physical project along with a Power Point presentation.

The question is do you have to do the work. If you do then gears will be kind of tricky unless you have some pretty good mechanical skills and all the tools needed to do it. If I were you I would do a mid-pipe and TB/Plenum, it would be easy to do your self and decently priced.

gears a TB and plenum and get a tune (sniper tuning gets my vote). then get a decent suspension set up. the tokico blue set isnt too pricey nor is the bullitt kit from buyfordracing.com. What you need to do is take your teacher on a ride before you mod it and then after and scare the piss outa them.
