So no difference at all with the new radiator?

The exhaust isn't clogged right?

Have you run a compreesion test?

If having a Ford Service manual would be useful, I may be able to help. PM if interested.

Again thank you for the help and replies.

-Not really,Its not overheating while idle nor loosing any coolant, its only loosing coolant from the expansion tank while driving around.

-The exhaust doesnt seem to be clogged.Am I right to assume the most logical place would be the cat?

-I havnt run a compression test,I may go get one.As for a leak down test,I do not have an air compressor.

maybe this doesnt have to do anything to do with that but my stang has a coolant problem combined witht the a/c; the cars is fine when the air is on 2 but when put on full blast(just did it so the car could get cooler, but i wasnt driving it) the a/c starts to feel hot and the temperature goes up in a matter of seconds! i get home and there is no coolant at all! i look under(after putting a whole gallon again and keeps draining down but doesnt not leak from the the bottom and dont know where thr coolant goes!

That does not sound good.Hope you get it worked out.

As for my wifes car,the problem has been greatly reduced so far but not completely solved.
I replaced the radiator with no good results,so I took it into another shop. They did several tests and said that the system was still dirty, even tho it was flushed in June.So the shop flushed it again and found that the water pump gasket failed. It wasnt leaking but somehow pulling in air?
they replaced then did another flush.

For a few days it seemed be fixed,no lose of coolant. Then after about a week it started showing some very minor signs that coolant is coming out from under the cap,but it is at such a slow rate that in 3 weeks I havnt even had to add coolant, but enough to make it wet on the expasion tank.

after the first flush in June the car was fine for a week then it started pushing coolant out again. So Im keeping a very close eye on this. The heater still not work but I think thats might due to the door that controls the hot/cold air flow(I forget the name of that part).

Well an update.

I now think it's gonna be a head gasket. Now after it sits all night then 1st start of the day its a very rough idle.It was throwing 2 codes for misfire on cylinders 3 and 5 of which are on different heads.Plug 3 had a cracked insulator with really rough edges around the end of the plug.Plug 5 didnt show anything like that really.

So I changed them both and the rough idle is back. What I dont understand is how 2 different shops have ruled out the head gaskets.

Problem fixed.
Both head gaskets were gone between the coolant ports and the cylinder ports.

Glad to see your issue is resolved. I have been following this and have had issues that present themselves in strange ways as well. Hope this does not take the fun out of playing with cars for you.
