Hi guys i had to put a new radiator in my mustang, and it doesnt seem to be working right because it gets way hot, and i have to shut it down. I have enough coolant in there i think?? When it gets hot it goes into the overflow tank. I bought the radiator from teamradiator.com. There are a couple of rubber plugs that can be screwed in on the side, which didnt exist on the factory radiator.. I screwed them in tight by hand??? What is going on here? Please help!

Its as if the radiator isnt functioning, just get warmer and warmer. doesnt matter what im doing. It goes up to the normal mark(middle), stops there for a few minutes, then just keep on going up until i shut it off

Sounds like that new radiator isn't doing it's job. Did you do the install yourself? Are there any leaks in your hoses?

Try replacing your thermostat. It might be stuck closed or clogged.

Hey.. Yeah seems like the radiator does nothing. I did the install myself, but it was very easy, and there are no leaks. I think the thermostat is stuck closed. Im goingto go buy a new one this afternoon. I know it is easy to change, but Where is it? Possibly the thermostat quick working since there was no coolant in there for a few months

follow the upper rad hose to the front driver's side of the intake manifold. that is where the t-stat is.

Air trapped in the cooling system can have the same effect also.
