yea, so my driver door lock has been acting up for aquite a while, ive been trying to put it off til i put her away for winter, but it just stuck completely today, had to get in from passenger side twice today. it worked fine til 5 or so today.

now exactly, the lock has been sticky and wouldnt always go all the way up with the turn of the key, or unlock button. but ive been able to shimmy it high enough with the key and then pop it open, jiggling the handle while turning it. but today it was very stuck, and the motor(what i think is siezed) for the door lock is completly stuck, i used to be able to pull the handle on the inside, then hit unlock and itd pop. but no luck.

so i started taking the stuff off the inside of the door to try and get to the lock/motor, to see whats wrong if the motor isnt seized, and to at least make my door able to be opened. i got the door armrest and the handle bezel off, but i cant get the rest off. anyone know how to get it open enough without ruining anything so i can get ot the door lock? thx a ton guys.

See Jrichker's write up (on his SN site) about the door lock retrofit. As I recall, he has a very detailed run down on what to remove and has pics (mine are custom now, and I dont recall how it was stock).

Good luck.

with my old 'stang, i had to use the key in the door, and pull on the handle inside (with the window down of course) to get the door open. once i got it open, i just drilled out the rivet that holds the actuator in, and voila! manual door lock.
