Help Finding Clutch Cable Replacement

I'm new to the site and this is my first post here. Hi all

I am in need of a replacement clutch cable as you can see it is frayed. Its off a 98 Cobra and is for a T45.

My question is what is the best replacement cable for this set up. As you can see it has a firewall adjuster and aluminum quadrant.
Will OE work or do I have to go aftermarket cable.
I tried to find some ID markings on the adjuster and quadrant, none so I have no idea the manufacturer.
Any advice would help.

What should you replace the broken one with?: Only use a OEM Ford cable as they are truly the highest quality cables.

Well, I bought the car wrecked so whoever put it in before probably used a kit.

Will the OE fit in the adjuster?

As long as you have a firewall adjuster the OEM cable will work perfectly.

I have ALWAYS used OEM clutch cables.

yes, but you have to mod the cable...easy and can be done with a razor blade

Someone said that the quadrant I have in the picture isnt any good (UPR)? Makes the cable pop? Anyone used a similar one?

You should just get this set up. Its the most badass hands down.

The UPR quad is fine. Any quad can cause binding if installed incorrectly. Ensure that the cable lines up with the quad, and use spacers (nylon spacers work great!) if needed to get it lined up.

Thanks, its a swap into my crown vic so I should be able to get things lined up pretty good. Just don't want to break the bank and get new stuff if I dont have to. The cable was a must.

I have a UPR quadrant and have no issues. I have heard that Fiore one is like butter also. I have never used it though.

I'm running the Fiore Racing Quad & adjuster also. Had it installed and adjusted in less than 1 hour. Haven't had to adjust it since the install 2 1/2 years ago. It's a beatutiful thing.
