Hello to all,
I've just purchased an '07 Vista Blue GT 5 speed with 3:55's and I'm really looking forward to modifying it! I have not had a Mustang since I sold my 92 5.0 coupe 7 years ago but the fever is back!

If I could get as many opinions as possible I would appreciate it! I just want to end up with a great street car that is reasonably fast and dependable. I really wanted a Shelby but am not paying over sticker for it and besides I can have fun doing the mods to the GT.

1. I am considering a supercharger, Roush is attractive because of the warranty and my dealer says they will put it in, they sell Roush. Is this the only one with a warranty, and should I do this to get to around 415hp or a host of other mods instead? What's best for the money?

2. One of the first things I want to do is exhaust, is there one over the other I should consider that works better with s/c? I had flows on the 92 and it sounded great but was not s/chrged. Which ones are best, I have heard some are bad with the "drone"

3. Are axle backs adequate to produce this power level or do I have to replace the whole system?

I appreciate any advice from anybody, and I'm sure I'll have a few more ????'s. Thanks!

I believe the Saleen and Magnacharger can also be installed with the 3/36 warranty. The exhaust question is quite subjective but for the most additional power on a s/c car bigger is better. I'd say ceramic-coated long tubes, a good X and some good free fowing mufflers. 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords recently had an article on a 3 inch Magnaflow setup specifically for supercharged S197's. While it is not absolutely necessary you have to remember that a s/c forces more air into the cylinders and larger exhaust will help that extra air get out. The ceramic coating will keep more heat in the exhaust gases, increasing flow and decreasing (slightly) underhood temps.
