Help! Front seat wont come forward after leaning back!

On my 87 i cant get the front driver seat to lean back forward. I leaned it back and now i cant get it to come back forward and latch, it just falls back. Any ideas on how to fix this?

This happened to my 93 it freekin sucked. It was the biggest gangsta lean ever. I ended up putting different seats in it. Sorry I'm no help but I would suggest messing with the lever. That's the culprit. It isn't allowing it to catch when the seatcomes back up

lift latch , pull seat forward and push latch down. mine does this and this is the only way it works now.
