The kit I bought came with rotors, calipers, pads, ss lines w/ banjo bolts. That should be all you need. You don't need the ss lines but I did it for looks and because they should have a better feel anyway. If you need any OEM parts, pm me because there is a dealer I know that sells everything at 10% over cost. He can actually get the FRPP 13" kit for very cheap compared to everyone else. Under $400 if I remember correctly.

Well obviosly you would need new calipure brackets. I am not sure if the gt and cobra calipurs are close enough to just buy the calipure brackets for the cobra kit.

I would start searching. I would bet this has been brought up before. I have a feeling most people who do this mod relize it is mostly lookes oriented and want the cobra or bullitt calipures as well.

lots of people run stock calipers and paint them and then get aftermarket rotors and pads. You can check out tirerack.com and look at the brembo rotors and hawk pads. They make them in the stock rotor size for GT's. Slotted and drilled rotors and also plain vented rotors.

No, you need to upgrade to a complete 13" brake kit...no mix-n-match between cobra and gt.

You can't run a 13" rotor with the stock GT calipers because I think that they are thicker than the stock rotors. I could be wrong on this though.

thats correct. The cobra rotors are thicker. You will need cobra calipers, new lines, and the correct banjo bolts for your 13" rotors.

One thing most people don't think about is the spare no longer fitting over the 13" brakes. Need to buy a Cobra spare to fit over the caliper. AND as luck would have it I just happen to have one for sale w/ an alum. wheel , several pounds lighter than stock as well. Let me know if you need it. Also GEFracing is a great place to buy Cobra kits, super fast shipping. DO NOT order from Speed Concepts. Only thing they do "speedy" is charge your C.C. takes weeks to ship, if at all.

Cliff notes
1. You'll need Cobra spare
2.Gefracing good
3.Speed Concepts sucks

Which year Cobra spare fits which year GT?

I've seen a lot of Cobra spares advertised to fit 94-98. Why stop at 98? I have a 99 GT. Is there something different about 99-04 that the spare from a 98 won't fit?

Baer Eratadspeed rotors here, with Mach 1 calipers, Hawk pads and SS lines (wanted black calipers).

You can use the stock GT calipers on the rear...but the fronts have to be swapped.

I first bought cobra calipers loaded with new pads and the brackets for 175 new on ebay. Then I bought some oem cobra rotors for 75 also from ebay. At first I used the stock lines and banjo bolts.250 for a 13" upgrade was pretty cheap.

Since thenI have installed brembo slotted and crossed drilled rotors goodrich ss lines and hawk hps pads. so now its even better. Its one of the best mods I have made.
