I just tried the GT Headlight fix posted on The Corral. All went well until I tested them out. The fog lights are always on now. Ignition off, keys out and switches off!!! How can this be? I followed all of the directions carefully and checked and re-checked and re-checked!!! Has this happened to anyone whop has tried it, or heard of it happening? Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be. At first I thought that I was using to large of a tap in connector, so switched them to a smaller gauge. It didn't fix it. Then was thinking and remembered that the package for the relay was open at the bottom. I didn't notice this when I bought it, and don't remeber opening it at all. Could I have gotten a bad relay? Please help!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

either you wired it wrong , or the relay is stuck, with the lights stuck on (and the switch off) give the relay a whack, if it doesn't go off, then either the relay is bad or you wired it wrong. The corral instructions can be tricky, I messed up on them 3 times on 3 different cars...you just have to read VERY carefully, thw wording is tricky...If after you hit the relay, the lights go off then the relay is sticking, see if it works anymore, if not, then replace it...

i have not read the write up, but check the juice (or ground if that is what is switched) on the coil wires of the relay. sounds like you might have constant 12 volts to the coil (or constant ground if it switches ground). the coil terminals are normally 86 and 85 on a SPDT relay. it is easy to mis-read and mis-wire that stuff.

you need one of those two terminals to deactivate when you turn the switch, car, etc off (however you have it set up to kill power).
good luck.

I was able to fix it today. I finally got to Radio Shack and bought a new relay. The one I bought originally was opened at the store I think. Someone must have brought it back and they put it back on the shelf.
