just so you're not wasting time barking up the wrong tree, a local guy with a blower car made over 800rwhp on 1 5/8 SHORTY headers.

I have pondered the same issue for my blown 408. My builder says that they use custom stepped headers in the race cars using this engine...but I have realized that I cannot justify $1000 for headers either. 1 3/4" likely...

I made around 480rwhp and 574tq.

do you have a loose converter? that'll skew the numbers somewhat. dynojet or mustangdyno?
but, yeah, save your time & money on the headers and start looking elsewhere for the problem.

I know what the problem is, a sbf 347, I should have planned for bigger!

fyi regarding meth,
the other night i made a pass on the street and it didn't seem to pull as good as it should have. i closed the gap from .030 to .026, and it pulls ALOT harder.
