I recently did an engine swap and had to use an intake spacer, which made it impossible to put stock hood on the car. I spent $450 to get a fiberglass harwood 2.5" cowl hood, and the piece of crap doesn't fit. I thought harwood was a good brand, but apparently I was way off on that idea. It does not have all of the holes cut, is missing some hardware, and doesn't line up with the car. I was wondering if anyone had first hand experience with a good hood with ALL of the holes cut. (bolt holes, holes for latches and hood prop.) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

i got the brothers performance 3 inch cowl hood and it bolted right in right now i am running gt40 manifold with an inch spacer and 70 mm tb and there is a ton of room to spare. also came with all the holes cut out for the prop and hood latch. i broke it slammin it down though so i had to put hood pins in instead of using the latch. but it was an overall good hood. fit nice and looked good.

I have a Cervinis 3" [?] fiberglass cowl hood. It's been on the car since about 1997 when my other buddy owned it and put it on.

I took it off once to weigh it againt my stocker... the Cervinis was 1 pound lighter   so seeing as how it's still nicer looking I put it back on got everythinbg lined up nice and shes fine. It latches down every time and I have had good luck so far [knocking on wood now]with it not popping open. I've had the car up past 110 MPH easily 30 times since i've owned the car and hood.

I like the Cervinis here :nice: but cant say negative stuff about anything else cause I have no experience with anything else.

Cervinis makes good hoods (so i hear)

I have owned 2 different hoods and would highly recommend both!!
The first is Cervinis, they make a quality product. The second is Kaenen!! They make the hoods for Steeda, and Mustang Parts Specialty sells them. I just bought a Kaenen 3 inch cowl hood for my 88 GT and the thing fits fantastic!! 2 thumbs up!! Hope this helps!!
