help identify my alternator...

This is the alternator that was on the coupe when I got it...

I was trying to determine if this is a 2g, 3g or other alternator and if the wiring has been properly upgraded... (I attached a 4ga. wire from the positive battery post to the + on the alternator with a 125amp fusible link on the battery side)

As you can see from this pic, the mounting bracket has been notched to fit the non stock alternator...

How can I test to see what amp rating this alternator is?

Looks 3G-ish to me, based upon the wiring connections on the alt, and that the bracket was notched (6G does not require notching).

An inductive ammeter could give an idea of the output. The elec whizzes will know better ways of figuring out the output without yanking the alt.

Looks like a 3g.
The 2g uses a push on spade connector for the output terminal.

anyone know how to test this bugga for it's amperage or to positively identify it, any special marking that would identify it...
