HELP: idle/ stalling problems

for some time now the motor has been having idle problem when cold but after the car warms up it's fine. well yesterday it got worse. i have to keep the eng alive by reving at lights and full throttle when on the gas. there is no check eng light and the car runs but i will prob. get arrested if i drive it like this to much
I'm thinking it may be the t.p.s. or the i.a.c. but i don't want to just swap parts with no real idea of what it is.
any body have any ideas?

The quick and easy way to dump the codes is in there too, and all you need to do it is a paper clip! The first two posts contain all the fixes & updates. At last count there were 24 possible causes and fixes for surging idle/stall problems. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions.

I'll check it out.
there is no check eng light.
i cleaned the i.a.c. really well with carb cleaner and q tips.
it helped a lot but did not completely fix the problem

Codes may be present even if the check engine light isn't on. Always check them, most of us can afford a paper clip to do it with...
