help..just got new exhaust tips...

i just bought a pair of magnaflow 3.5 in exhaust tips, and im planning on having them welded on in place of the factory tips. but heres the problem, they look pretty long. theyre about 20 inches long where the 2.5 in inlet begins...is this too long, will they be able to be welded in. if not could my muffler shop modify them to fit...? im worried, please help

just cut the tailpipe to length and then weld them on...simple.

Any muffler shop can easily fabricate a piece themselves to go from 2.5" to 3.5" if they have to cut your tips.

they shouldn't have to cut the tips, just the exhaust like someone said.
