Help me choose the right Mustang

I'm a fan of the GT, but then I like Mustangs. With a few exceptions of course, but I think that timewarped had some very good points. In that honestly you shouldn't be too overly obsessed in finding a car with just exactly the right options. I think you should look around for a good "Cream-puff" Mustang even if it isn't perfectly optioned. Vs a car that is ragged to death, but has exactly the options you want.

Its pretty easy to take a nice GT or LX and change the gearing to 3.55 or whatever. I think you'll be a lot happier with the Mustang that way because you can't spec order a used Mustang.

i was just reading through this, and was gonna say: dont (by any means) think that 86-88 and 93 mustangs are bad in any way, their just not preferable. belive it or not, speed density cars (86-88) actually run a little bid harde stock for stock against the mass air cars. and dont think that the 93 are bad either. i've owned an 85gt, 91gt and a 93gt, and with the acception of the modification variations, they all performed identically. the thing i like about the 93's is with the hyperuectectic (sp?) pistons, you get a little bit tighter of a seal, which in the long run, maintains it's compression better than forged. don't get me wrong, i would rather have forged then hyperu-(scew it i hate typing that word) its just that hyper... pistons have their advantages too.

an other than that, hp count was down on the 93's as well, but it's pretty unnoticeable. if thats even a word
