Here is what happened.
First I got the zex dry kit hooked up and checked it with the key on without the bottle opened. The solenoid clicked open Fine at WOT and then heard a click that is about half as loud as the first one for the when it closed.
So after that I opened the bottle. No leaks anywhere, everything seemed fine.
I pulled the nozzle out of the intake tube and then purged the line with just the key turned on. Everything was fine.
So then I took it out to an open road and went WOT from about 3000 in second.
Nothing happened, I did not feel anything. So I was pulling over and as I put the clutch in i revved the engine "NOT AT WOT" and the nitrous started spraying so I immediately shut the car off and the N2o was still spraying into the intake tube.
It used my whole half bottle before I was able to close the valve on the bottle.
My air filter and intake tube were frozen solid and i had chunks of nitrous ice in the tube.
Nothing was hurt so I went home and checked everything.
The solenoid still clicks open but it has a really quiet click when it closes.
Any time I open the bottle, n2o sprays right through the solenoid and out of the nozzle, regardless of throttle position or if the system is even turned on.
So the solenoid is not closing all the way.
So i have the solenoid out of the car and I can blow through it from both sides.
I hooked the n2o feed line into the out side of the solenoid to try and blow something out if it had gotten stuck in there. It still did not work.
So right now I have the magnetic part off of the solenoid and when I shake it I can hear something rattle in side.
I need to take it apart though but I am not sure how.
I think maybe the spring is busted and not snapping the solenoid shut all the way.
What do you guys think?? How do I take the rest of it apart to find out what is wrong.??
