Sadly my uncle passed a few weeks ago and I could not bear to see his prized mustang sold out of the family so I bought it. It is an 04 GT convertible with 14000 miles in mint condition. I have always loved mustangs but don't really know a lot about cars so just trying to figure out what I have. I spoke to the guy that did much of his work and here are the things that he did. Shocks, struts, caster plates, springs, frame connectors, 4.10 gear, simco gauges, sct tuner, hurst shifter. The guy wouldn't mail me the shop tickets so I could get the specifics on everything but I am still working on that. I also know my uncle changed the exhaust and the cai.

My uncle was very organized and I have many of the stock parts. My aunt is going to try and find all of his records for the mods on the car. We also have to locate the tuner.

I know this motor stock was about 260hp. Any idea how many horsepower it is pushing with the mods? Any other bolt on type mods that should be done?

Car runs great and sounds awesome. I am just really curious as to how he was doing on this build and what I should do to finish for him. Thanks for any help.

Longtubes would be the next bolt on unless it already has that, you said it has exhaust mods but to what extent that is the question. If you post pictures under the hood and under the car we can tell you what you are working with much better. Sounds like he was well on his way with the mods he had and I would say the only thing to top that off IMO would be a purdy little Kenne Bell sitting on top.

Of those mods, only the tuner, the exhaust and the intake will give power increases. I'd wager 5HP a piece, give or take, giving you ~275 crank HP or ~235HP at the wheels.

Nice ride and some nice modifications all around. I am sorry for your loss, but I'd bet your uncle would have wanted you to enjoy it - so don't let him down.

Its got some good stuff going on. I would say enjoy it would be priority #1. I don't know where you live but I would take full advantage of the drop top and I would add a CDC light bar. I personally love the way they look even though they don't do much at all if you do roll it. Subframe connectors and Tokico Blue's for the rear shocks. BBK plenum and looks like BBK shorty headers already. Most of the stuff doesn't add huge HP #'s but these cars are meant to be enjoyed. I can't quite tell the brand of the exhaust from the pictures, but it somewhat looks like a flowmaster muffler, the tips however looked to be rolled and they don't usually have those. Maybe someone else will know exactly what those are but they don't look familar to me.

Thanks guys. I agree my uncle would want me to enjoy it. I think he also would want me to get as much out of it without totally modifying it ie no supercharger

As others have said, our Mustang community is sorry for your lost...

The undercarriage pictures are very dark so I'm not 100% positive, but I think you have a 3-link setup in the rear suspension. I think I see a Torque Arm and if that's the case, then you must also have a pan-hard bar too. That's the best rear suspension setup for the GT's. It should handle nicely compared to a stock 4-link setup. That's probably your most valuable/expensive mod(s).

Enjoy the car.
