Help me.....im feeling pretty worried

All above is good advice.

I too had a head gasket problem, but no overheating, no milkshake, however small carbon specks in the coolant lots of small bubbles in coolant reservoir.

A leakdown test as describe above pinpointed the exact cylinder, #3 wouldn't hold more than 40psi :(

Highly recommend the leak down test and if in fact it is a head gasket sealing problem, that the heads are checked by a machine shop

Good luck

Because water is thinner than oil (meaning that it is less dense), then wouldn't the water be at the top and the oil at the bottom, when considering gravity and whatnot.

Yes that is true. I had a clear 5 gallon bucket with antifreeze and oil in it. The antifreeze was clearly on the top. But when you pull the oil drain plug out, the anti freeze WILL come out first.

Good luck on your HG issues man, i feel you pain :nonono:

Antifreeze is not water... the water, oil and antifreeze will separate, water is denser than oil and oil is slightly denser than the antifreeze i think...

whell guys, i just pulled the heads....only took me 3 hours.....im getting good at this-sadly.....

Im sending the heads to the machine shop tommorow and see if there warped. there WAS leakage into the cylinders, because i see a bit of surface rust on the pistons, also, even though my dipstick was pure oil, i had milkshake under my valve covers.

Its hard to tell by looking what gasket went, but i know it had to be blown my the symptoms.

Ok, now for a couple of questions.

Should i worry about the block warping, and how can i check?
How can i clean out the milkshake action in my motor?

Thanks guys

You need a straight edge, and those thin metal strips ( i cant remember what they are called). But you just lay the straight edge across the surface, then try to slide the metal strips (different sizes) to measure any warping. You could easily check your heads as well, im sure thats what the machine shop will do as well.

Since we are in the same boat, I thought I'd add a few things. I just blew my head gaskets and I took my gt40p's into the shop and they checked them for $10 and they were fine. I just finished putting them and my rockers back on. I used the same gaskets as you and I torqued the heads down to 80/85, respectively. I am also using 7/16" arp bolts. I would at least torque them to this. I am considering going 5 pounds more, but they probably would even turn any more with just 5 lbs. anyways. I highly doubt your block is warped, but with what happened, something must be a bit off for some reason. I hope I won't have such a hard time. It would suck doing two HG's in a week.

p.s. I'm sure you know, but don't go over 18 lbs. on the lower intake. The upper I shouldn't be much either. Oh and I also went 21 lbs. on my stock rockers and stock pushrods.

Good Luck!

those little metal gauges are called feeler gauges......... i think :D

i had issues with this on 2 of my HG installs.... i kept somehow getting exhaust leaking into my cooling system and building up pressure in the cooling system, blowing coolant out of the system...therefore i would be low on coolant and the temp gauge would be alllll over the place.... no oil in the coolant and no coolant in the oil.... and no white smoke... just disappearing coolant and a wacky temp gauge

GreenMustangGt, I feel your pain. EXACT same thing happened to me twice. I just wound up getting a new motor, but i would be willing to bet that the heads or block are warped. I got a whole new engine for 800 bucks from my friends totaled car so it was a no brainer for me. Goodluck man, keep us informed.
