I have committed to doing the headswap once I put in my front shocks, and I was planning on going with the Edelbrock Performer RPM 1.90" heads, and a Performer RPM Air Gap intake.

There is a local guy selling a set of the regular Edelbrock Performer 1.90" heads (the smog legal ones) brand new in the box for about $200-$250 less than I can get the RPM's from the store (He bought the heads but didn't use them because he wanted to go to a bigger combo).

He also is selling the regular Performer RPM Non-airgap intake (brand new as well) for $150 less than I can get the airgap from the store.

Would it be worth the extra $350 to get the parts I wanted from the store, or would this be a good deal? How much would the performance loss be with the parts the guy is selling over what I wanted?

I like to get the best deals that I can since I don't make a lot of money, but I don't like to get crap either. If it's not worth it, then I won't do it.

Thanks for your help guys!

The air gap manifold might not let you use your stock hood. I bought one and had to buy a 3" fiberglass cowl hood. I had problems with leaks on this manifold and finally changed to the performer RPM. As far as heads go the best value in the market are AFR's. I bought the AFR 225's and reduced my ET by one full second. They flow like the ocean if you race!
