alright folks..im 23 years old and im what my mom says stupid when it comes to my car.. i have a 2004 gt and when i say pimp it out im not talkin body kits i can do that myself what i need help with is mods.... im a dealer at a casino and currently picked up a second job...after apartment rent and car note and insurance i have about 3,000 dollars a month to spend on my car so i need help deciding what i should do first and what order and all... also best order for least install cost.. i know i should prolly start with internal first heads, cams, gears.... but seeing as this is my only car i was thinking of buying a crate engine and doing all the mods then doing an engine swap... any opinions guys? also any good crate engines? websites are a plus...thanks for any help

so you have about an extra 3k a month to spend? are you trying to find the balance between daily driver and rice/camaro stomper?

is the car 100% stock right now? 5-spd or auto?

Buy a used engine and rebuild it with forged crank, rods, pistons. Then supercharge it!

2.4 KB, 3V headswap, all new internals, and nitrous, and you'll be happy.

Ok
1. How about this with all the extra income pay car off?
2. Pick up another cheaper car to drive daily and have so when stang is down for mods you have transportation?
3.Just get an 04 cobra?
4. BLOWER or TURBO?
5. Find a reputable speed shop go out find other's with cars you like see where they get work done, go there and discuss what you wanna do in the end with the people there and take their advice. I mean if where you live is full of curving roads a drag car would be no fun. If you live where it's flat straight and desolate a corner craver wouldn't be as much fun.
6. Stand back throw large sums of $$$ at car until it's what you want.

If you want raw horsepower, call up modular powerhouse and say how much power you want. They'll give you an exact time frame and cost for it.

I'm about 10 minutes from there, so once you deliver it, I could keep watch over it for you.

Typically you get blower cams before the blower, or just at the same time.

Call MPH, see what a blower, cams, and tune will run you. Then save up for that and drop the car off.

I don't think it's fair to laugh at him...like he said, he's stupid when it comes to cars, therefore he doesn't know much. Give the guy a break.

My vote goes to save the first 3 or 4 months payments then drop an 03/04 Cobra 4v motor in it and then buy a Kenne Bell 2.4L 27psi competition blower. You'd haul some ass then. Man...that thing would be soooo loud! HOLY CRAP! I want one.

I believe that the laughing was directed at this? Since that was what 52 was refering to.

Wow 3k extra a month? That'd be nice . If you get a KB, save up a little more and get some forged internals, so as to not find yourself covered in death. Have fun and keep us updated, with those funds lying around you could make a real beast. Oh yeah, you'll need to upgrade your fuel system to I imagine.
