Looking to go with a tubular k member and arms this winter. I currently have, a rear panhard bar, hpm megabite lowers and 50/50 lakewood shocks. Springs are stock, uppers are stock, all front suspension is stock.
This is a weekend warrior car that I drive more than 100 mi per weekend. The car runs 12.7 at 107.1 on 275 bfg's N/A, but I have crappy 60' times of 1.94 on the 12.7 run. I have a 200-250 wet shot ready to go on, so I need hook.
I dont want the car to be unsafe to drive on the highway, but I want the thing to wieght transfer and hook like an SOB. I have given up on corner carving, with a plain and straight speed lust.
I plan on doing the whole front end, springs, struts, k member a arms etc. Now what do go with. The car is an 88gt for starters. I figure I am going to take the front sway bar off for good.
What k member, struts, springs, a arms to go with?? Coilovers or no?? What for rear springs and Uppers?? All expirienced input is greatly appriciated.
Thanks in advance,
Ted

For the front I'd go with the complete UPR setup including coil overs. Spring weight depends on the weight of the car. I run 130 lb. springs on mine. For struts, I like the QA-1 adjustables but they're pricey. Strange makes a decent adjustable front strut but they're a bit heavier than the QA-1s.
