its a 01 V6 stang and when he gives it more than 1/2 throttle the car hesitates. It happens more at lower RPMs. I put new plugs and wires in it and found that the plugs were not gapped right so i gapped them to the factory spec of .052-.056 and It didnt change anything. what else should i look at. this weekend im going to do the basics and change his air and fuel filters. the car has 60K on it also

thanks

also might want to check TPS (i assume they have those - i dont know poo about the 3.8's).
any codes (OBD II tends to toss a code if the car backfires once. really touchy).
good luck.

there are no codes and it is a coil pack the light was on before for a misfire after the plugs and wires were replaced the light went off

Hmm, since nobody said anything about plug wires to begin with. He did change the plugs though, and as far as I know new cars still have spark plugs.
