Odd no responses on/for this....I guess I'll get it done myself and post it up once completed witha video/pdf on the install...if anyone has any links or info on the mutha thumps stage III ...let me know...thanks!

Hey guys.....
I've been a member for a while.....have not asked too much about/on my 07 GT...I figured until it went off of waranty and w/the High prices...I would wait to start mods.....so far it's got "cherry-bomb mufflers" welded in...lowered w/FFRP springs.....I've looked through alot of our threads and U-Tube vids....but now... it's time to start buying....(can't wait) ...hoping you guys can help....

Comp cams Mutha Thumpr's..Stage II NSR -

(I've been reading all or most of the threads -EX ..."I ordered my package from Doug at Bamachips. Mutha Thumpr cams, phaser limiters for 845 shipped. One tune was free.") ....

Now there's a stage III that no-knows or has info out now through RPM Mustang...great prices $675.00....but there's no video or anything on the Stage III NSR that I can find....I like stage II's ....the lifts are same 450....stage II's have In 273/Ex 305.....the stage III In 281/ Ex 314...which compared to the stage II's seems like a big jump.... I think is great ...it would make it sound like a even bigger boat/thumpr....maybe too lumpy...I don't know....I think I should stay with stage II's????

Phazers - if I get a Diablo preadtor tuner will it tune the phazers to below 20 degrees?.....is it hard to tune the car as a novice?...my car only has 18K on it...I don't want throw a valve or anything...??

Does Comp Cams include a detailed install set of directions?...I'm researching it...but it scares the $Hit out of me....messing up the timing...I plan on using that ford tool that holds the chain/ marking it etc...looks easy in all of the downloads....but I maybe going to my local ford dealer and asking if a seasoned Tech can come by and supervise/help....pay him some $....?..

Anyway besides this a FFRP cold induction / long tubes / H/X pipe....I'll probably wait on the headers....hoping the cams will sound good through the stock exhuast mainfolds.....

Sorry about the long winded thread here....really appreciate any advice...limited budget...don't want to waste money or time...Thanks!

the stage III (Big Mutha Thumpers) require a
stroker motor or ported heads, so i think
stage I or II is for you. only you can decide
which stage is right for you.

as for cam install directions, you can use the FRPP cam
install manual found on-line here:

http://www.fordracingparts.com/download/instructionsheets/FordInstShtM-6550-3V.pdf

the comp phaser limiter installation guide,
is on their website.

as far as tuning goes, you'll want to have a local
dyno tune for best results.

good luck with the project, if you have more
questions post them up.

Just curious but when doing a cam replacement/upgrade do you have to re-time it?

stangFan, no....no re-timing is required. the
stock cams and aftermarket cams have keyways
and you maintain the original timing.
