Hey guys,

Ok, I hit a deer on Monday right? (03 cobra) Well my heat exchanger got slightly dented and insurance is paying for a new one.
My question... Should I get a new one? And if so what kind?

I could actually straiten it out and just pocket the 700 bucks. BUT I also think this could be a good way to get a aftermarket. How much with this help my HP? Also, I found a few for around 400 bucks, and one for 550 from Racer Walsh that has fans on it. ? Anybody have one already? What do you guys think?

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks!

It's dyno proven that a new HE will add exactly 0 RWHP and 0 RWTQ!

All a larger HE will do for you is prevent heat soak from setting in sooner when running the car under sustained or continuous boost scenarios. The larger HE does not increase HP or TQ.

Wow. Thanks. So I'll get the cheapest one possible, or even use the stock one.

Unless you plan on "hot-lapping" your car at the dragstrip or road racing it then I would just repair your stock HE and use the money for something else.

I just bought a stenciled LFP the other day for $329 shipped. I'm just waiting for it to come in. A larger H/E will definitely come in handy if you get pullied.
