Florida
Hey guys, took the stang by poweredbyford yesterday as I was hitting temps of 218 on the highway and was really getting nervous. Florida weather is already torturous. Anyways, they informed me to put in some water wetter, get rid of my underdrives (this will be the LAST resort), and that my "air dam" was missing. They described it as a plastic piece that goes under the front bumper to force air onto the radiator as you move. I stopped by a ford dealer in orlando and got what was supposed to be the part (a flimsy rubber piece that reminds me of my california water blade), and I see no what this part goes on the car. Could someone PLEASE provide me a pic or a more accurate description of what this part is????

hey man, it attaches to the radiator support on the face of the support itself with push pins or screws. I was told that was my problem too replaced it to no resolve. I had to wind up buying a fluidyne. Solved my problem. who knows though

btw i am in alabama on the florida line so it is hot as he(double hockey sticks) here too.

I made this in paint...hope you can see it. For best viewing use Paint as well. The air dam on my car is bent, which you can see, and it is located between the two lower front bumper corners.

Read your post and thought well, let me go take a couple pics to help the guy out. Took my camera out in the garage, set the creeper in place and went to take a picture and lo and behold, my air flap is gone. Oh well no biggie, didn't need that extra weight there anyway!!! :D Well sorry I couldn't help ya. I did try tho. :nice:
