how good is autocheck compared with carfax? im thinking of buying this 2000 gt with only 23k miles. the guy selling it provide me with a report from autocheck and according to that, the gt is all clear. keep in mind that he is asking 10,500 for it.
I bought my Focus for $800 because of a huge electrical fire that happened in it. I fixed it up and a friend wrecked it good. After the $2500 insurance claim from that, and whatever may have happened insurance-wise with the electrical fire, it shows up completely clean on Carfax. It shows a few owners and that's it. No claims, accidents, or anything. I don't know what's up with that.
I bought the car at an auto auction thing, so I don't know the story of whatever happened before that. It came with a regular title though. I did all of the repairs myself to get it going when I got it. When my friend wrecked it, I took it to Collex, which is a pretty big chain as far as I know. I paid my deductible and everything, so I figured something would show up.
