HELP NEEDED 302 "cutting out"

I'm very new to this site, but so far everyone has been very helpful. Here's my newest problem. I have a 302 in my newly purchased 68. The motor feels strong, but when I turn a corner I let off the gas a bit, and as I straighten it out and get back on the gas, the car cuts out for a second or two.......sounds like it's going to totally die, but then gets going agian and all seems well. It does this every time I turn a corner or turn out of a parking lot onto a street. It's very annoying and at some point I think it's going to totally die on me. Any ideas?

what kind of carb do you have?

The float level in the carb's probably too low. What brand of carb is on it ?

Its a Holley 4bbl

Check the float level first.
Clear sight plugs for the bowls are always nice...

Also, just for giggles, check the accel pump linkage and make sure everything is adjusted out nice. Could be a mix of both problems...
