Hi guys, I followed the directions for installing the adjuster and quadrant. I'm also using the MM universal cable. The cable is identical to the stock one. I sanded that one part down a bit. My first problem is... I but the clamp holder in the fender support exactly like it was before and the cable sits so far upi n the air that it keeps coming out of the adjuster. I have shove it under this other line to keep it from coming up. I don't have it hooked up to the transmission just yet, but everything else up top is intact and it is so freaking hard to turn the adjuster. I keep pulling it out and sanding more down. But how much do I really need to take off? This is getting ridiculous. Thanks to anyone who can give me a few pointers on how easy or hard it was for your whole setup.

FWIW, fox guys with LT's use that cable and they dont use the attaching bracket since it is not in the same location as stock on that car.

Sorry to not have better info. Good luck.

How about a little clarification? Is the adjuster hanging up on the clutch cable and that's why it's hard to turn or is it binding up somewhere in the threads?

I'm using the MM quadrant and UPR adjuster and didn't have a problem. I installed an MM adjuster on a buddies car and it went in like a glove.

I installed my MM clutch quadrant kit but used the factory cable.. mine is a little hard to turn but I wanted it that way so it wouldnt move without me adjusting it. I would finish installing the cable..

Well, the stock cable looks like it was formed with a slight roll in it to go down into the engine bay. The new cable is basically a straight peice and isn't used to going down so it's sort of curving up too much and pulling it's self out of the adjuster a little bit from the top. I can get it to go in properly if I push it under one of the lines nearby (i forget off the top of my head what I put it under) but after I do that and leave a little space between the cable and adjuster it seems impossible to turn. Maybee the clamp on the cable isn't in the original place and I need to leave it off. I'll hook it up to the transmission and go from there. I don't think the threads are binding or anything. I'll take a further look at it this weekend and get back to you guys. Thanks for your help in the meantime.

it should stop poping out of the quadrant when you get it connected to the trans since there will no longer be any slack for it to move around

also i think as soon as the cable gets heated up a few times from the engine itll get that curve to it like the stocker had
