Hello everyone, I recently purchased a 1991 ford Mustang GT. All stock although it has a problem with the power steering where the pulley seems to wobble a lot. I removed serpentine belt and found that it was still wobbling.

How can I diagnose if its the power steering shaft or pulley that is malfunctioning? I removed the pulley using parts store puller, I'm blind as a bat and can't eyeball if the shaft is straight or if the pulley is warped.

I did put a bolt on the shaft and spun it and it seemed to look bent but I'm not sure.

Is there a sure fire way of knowing?

now that i'm looking at the pulley, it is for sure warped but it makes me think both are? It seems it was ran this way for a prolonged period of time. Didn't have a straight edge on hand so used a cd (lol). Definitely bent pulley. Could the shaft also be bent if it was ran like this?
