Putting a new clutch in tonight. But there is a small problem, my flowmasters were welded to the x-pipe. What would be the best thing to do about getting the exhaust out of the way??
yea, the tailpipes are welded too. i thought the muffler shop had used the clamps to connect that part but evidently not. it will be me and my dad working so maybe it wont be that hard to get the tranny out.Boss 351 said:Oh no, and you have tails? If the car is sitting high enough, unbolt at the headers and let the pipes drop but it will be a PITA to get the transmission out.
I suggest it's time to properly setup the exhaust. Cut it with a sawzall (sp?) and use some clamps to connect the pipes back together..
