Alright we installed a supercharger on a 2002 Mustang Gt. Procharger (8psi).

Well the sounds start upon initial startup. The head unit area sounds like it is spinning dry (but it has the oil in it)...

The belt is to loose and has a bit to much play in it. It seems the idler pulley is to loose because we can push it with our fingers in and out a bit. He had a squeeky belt problem before the supercharger install...related?

Also after the car is revved (2000rpm) and the engine comes down on the revs the supercharger unit gives off a turbo blow off sound...but it shouldn't right?

The car also won't idle without giving it a bit of gas...and it is slow to rev...

Any thoughts

Thanks :nice:

Alright we fixed a couple problems with ease:

The "metal to metal" sound was the idler pulley sitting against the block when running. It made some shavings:bang: But it was alright. We bought a new idler pulley and slapped it on...worked like a charm.

Next was the strange "turbo blow off valve" sound I described earlier. Well we found out we didn't put a vacuum line on the surge valve and splice it into a manifold vacuum line. So we bought some new vacuum hoses and the "sucking turbo" sound went away.

We couldn't get the car to idle by itself without turning the idle set screw up...what is causing it to not want to idle.

It has 42lb injectors/conservatively tuned chip from 02 gt it was bought off of/Pro-M MAF and nothing else is messed with. Any thoughts....is it the timing? It has stock timing. What could it be.

It drives fine though besides the low idle...

Any thoughts?
