This may be a dumb question, but I am having a tough time reading the timing marks on the Professional Products balancer I bought. It has timing numbers all over the thing. I am actually trying to find TDC, and I am on the compression stroke on #1 cylinder, but there are 2 sets of timing numbers I can stop it on. I also wanted to make sure on where to read the pointer. It should be at the end of the timing indicator where it says "time" correct? There is also a notch in the middle of the pointer, but I think I read that was for something else.

I think if I can get this dizzy and timing thing set right, I will be able to drive my car (Fist time in 2.5 months)

i have the same balancer and i use the marks on the front side of the balancer.

find exact TDC and use the marks wherever the pointer is on zero

and the exhaust or compression stroke means nothing when trying to find a mark on the balancer, only time that matters is when you are stabbing the dizzy

the pointer will be over 0 regardless of what TDC its at.
