Okay, previous owner installed a JET chip on the EEC, and I plan on running nitrous in less than 3 months, so this thing has to come out. My question is this, do I actually have to take the cover off of the EEC to get this out? Or can I just pull the JET chip out of the thing without removing the cover? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Oh, Do I need to tape over the spot that it was in? Or just leave as is?

If your not familier with how the jet chip connects to the EEC, it's easy to remove the cover. Just remove the hex screws on the body of the computer, the top and bottom of the computer will now lift away exposing the board, and you'll be able see if someone has taped in the jet chip. Not to worry, it's pretty easy.

Good to hear!!
Hopefully it was the chip that was causing the problem, and being that it was for the non-pi engine it may very well be the culprit.
