I do custom paint jobs and am in the beginning stages of a 95 GT red to black conversion, plus ghost flames in 3 colors. I started removing the door panel stuff, but need help renoving his Mach door speaker so I can remove the mirror. I will gladly answer any ? about paint , but need help with this speaker. Thanks

ive read somewhere before that you just have to take a flat head screw driver and stick it inbetween the black plastic and the speaker cover. Gently pry them apart. If it doesnt come off easy, the glue has sealed to the plastic so that basically means that your gonna have to use some pretty good force to pop it off. Ill do a search on the internet and see what i can come up with.

Thanks, we got the bottom plastic housing that holds speaker wire off, but the actual speaker is ready to break. Am using a forked clip tool remover to pry it off. Afraid to break it. I painted a 94 Cobra a few months back and those mach speakers just came right off, can't remember what held them on. This customer wants the mirrors painted body color so the mirrors have to come off. Thanks for the help.

Are you talking about the tweeter up by the window? The Mach460 cover comes off, just get a screw driver in the and pop it off, I think it might be kind of glued in, but it has ridges it snaps snuggly into, but no tabs to break. Then the front half should come off by a screw that's recessed into it. I can't remember the rest :( I think I broke mine in the process, so maybe you shouldn't listen to me. lol. I'm postive the Mach460 cover comes right off, I take it off to show off my handywork inside there all the time. I think the actual driver was just held in by two screws and a foam gasket which shouldn't hold it on too hard. I think the rest of the pod just lifts up and out.

The 4x6 has some huge rivets you'll have to drill out if you want to get the baffle off.
